Body, mind and heart, together.
Physical activity, creativity and emotional skills come together.
Neuroscience-Based
Our classes draw on applied neuroscience. Children learn simple tools they can use.
Our Story
From a Need to a Seed.
Hi, I'm Val. I'm an immigrant, a student of applied neuroscience, and a working parent in Vancouver, and I run our household on my own.
When my daughter started Grade 1, my days became a tight loop: school drop-off, my own classes, work, school pickup, then back to work again. Every after-school program we tried was full or waitlisted.
So I became the program.
I drove her from activity to activity, working from the car between classes. Somewhere along the way, I realized I couldn't be the only parent doing this. So many parents want more for their children's afternoons but don't have the hours to piece it all together.
So I built what I wished had existed: one place where children grow in body, mind and character, guided by people who understand how young brains learn.
That need became a seed. Seeds & Trees is what's growing from it.
One Mission
To strengthen our community by giving children the tools to build self-awareness, kindness, discipline and confidence.
Our Vision
From one seed in Vancouver to a forest around the world;
A Seeds & Trees program in every city, helping children grow into grounded, kind and confident people.
The Seedling Fund
Every term, Seeds & Trees opens one spot in each program for a child from a single-parent or low-income family.
We started Seeds & Trees because we know what it's like to want more for your child when time and money are stretched thin. The Seedling Fund is our way of making sure that never decides who gets to grow.
Seedling Fund children take part in everything: every class, every material, and the celebration at the end of the term.
Big Ideas, Real Impact.
